we have a cylinder that’s big end bearing temperature that is with in a degree or two of the rest of the bearings when it suddenly spikes up to 262 tripping off the engine. Inspected bearing temperature sensor and bearing saw no issues. Restarted it and it ran fine for 3 hours, spiked and tripped. Recalibrated sensor, ran engine tripped after an hour. I feel it is a connection issue has anyone had issues like this one?
Trend liner temps for that cylinder and main bearing temps on either side of it. When it “spikes”, is it normal one second, then 262 the very next second, or does it take a few seconds to reach that temperature?
