We have 4 50SG A engines and 1 50SG B engine. We have recently been experiencing trips on one of our A version engines due to high cylinder pressure on A09. The trip happens at full load, usually after being online for 20 minutes or so. The engine appears to be operating normally when A09 pressure will spike instantaneously and cause an engine shutdown. The pressure trend appears to be a real process value – not due to a loose wire.
We have gone through several troubleshooting steps: replaced SOGAV and pre-chamber, swapped the pressure sensor with A08 and verified that the wiring in the CCM is not loose, but the failure is still happening.
Has anyone else had a similar failure? What did you do to fix the issue?
Thanks,
Mike
