I sent out an e-mail a lot of them came back to me, will not send. so I am re-sending through the user group forum.

I am wondering if anyone allows their RTO Market such as ( SPP)  to start or stop their engines ? this would mean someone from outside of your company has control to perform this function, I would appreciate a response, no, or yes, if yes how was this developed to ensure safety to personnel and meeting all NERC CIP requirements ? or has this ever ben considered by any of you at all ? Thank you

No,  we don’t sell our power.

We allow SPP to have load control of our units.  We do not allow start/stop control.  We will start the units and bring to minimum load and then allow remote generator output control.  When units are to be shut down, we disable remote generator output control.  We then will shut down the units.
