I am trying to get the access to the logic behind the WOIS and Wartsila will provide it but we have to sign the End Users License Agreement. My Senior management is hesitant to sign it due to us not having cyber security insurance and some of the noncompliance requirements of the agreement. It will end in 20 years or discontinued support of Windows 7 or the Wonderware Intouch software. Anyone run into concerns on this issue?
We have had similar issues at the two Wartsila sites I have been at. At the end of the day, the collective legal & compliance teams for the respective entities had to come to an agreement before we were given access. In my experience, the process can be a major or minor undertaking depending on the entities involved. I know many other sites that have chosen to steer away from increased access specifically due to the EULA process with Wartsila.
